Children’s Programs

The Canton Public Library Children’s Room programs include the extraordinarily popular annual Summer Reading Program as well as Story Times for children preschool through age 5, plus other special programs throughout the year. Sign-ups for our Story Times occur every September and every January.

About the Children’s Room

The Canton Public Library strives to encourage a love of reading and learning in all children and in the adults who care for them.

We provide current, responsive, high interest materials and programs all throughout the year for children from preschool through Grade 8.

Children’s Room materials include a variety of well chosen fiction and non-fiction in paperback, hardcover, audio and dvd formats. The collection also includes a Parent Shelf Collection, including our popular Grandparent Bags and Theme Kits. We also have a variety of magazines for children aged preschool through Grade 8.

Visits for classroom groups and preschools are available by advance arrangement.
