Pick a project, gather your yarn, and get ready to create! Join our November crafting challenge and work toward finishing a project of your choice—with encouragement, help, and time to craft together along the way.
Finish your project during the month to earn an invitation to a special movie event and become eligible for prizes!
What is NaKniSweMo?
NaKniSweMo stands for National Knit-a-Sweater Month, which runs from November 1–30. At Camp NaKniSweMo, you can choose your own challenge. Knit, crochet, or talk with Meghan about another project you’d like to tackle. You don’t have to make a sweater!
How to Sign Up
Come into the Library to pick up your Project Plan at the Teen Desk.
Return your completed Project Plan to Meghan by October 31 to officially join the challenge.
- Choose your challenge. Decide what you want to make and set a goal you can work toward during November.
- Get ready. Find and copy your pattern, choose your yarn, and gather the correct needles, hook, or other tools.
- Fill out your Project Plan. Let Meghan know whether you already have the skills you need or would like help learning.
- Bring your completed plan to Meghan. Once your checklist is complete, you’ll officially be signed up and receive a project bag!
Need help choosing a project or figuring out what you’ll need? Come to an information session or stop by the Teen Desk.

Craft Together & Get Help
We’ll also be working on projects during Teen Crafternoon every Tuesday at 3:00 PM. Bring your project, spend time with other crafters, and keep making progress!
You can ask for help at the Teen Desk throughout the month. Help outside scheduled sessions depends on Meghan’s availability.
