If you have eclipse glasses you no longer want, please bring them to the Canton Public Library by
5:00 p.m. Friday, April 26! We will be donating them to Astronomers Without Borders so that children in Central America can safely view the eclipse that will occur later this year.
Maybe you want to hold onto your glasses until the next time we have the opportunity to witness a solar eclipse in Connecticut (August 2044 – wow)! Maybe you want a memento for your scrapbook. Or maybe you’ll be travelling to Mexico in October.
But if you want a way to get rid of your eclipse glasses without adding to the landfill, just bring them to us no later than Friday, April 26. We’ll give them to a great organization that will make sure they get to people who can use them.
