Shona Bradbury

Our Writer in Residence is Shona Bradbury. She has published three books. Gesticulations,  An Original Roswell, and Changing Realms are available for borrowing at Canton Public Library’s Local Author section. Changing Realms is also offered for free in eBook form at her website at www.shonabradbury.com.

Shona Bradbury (she/her) is an American author born and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois where there wasn’t much else to do than lose yourself in a good book. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and daughter.

Write-Ins

Mondays from 1-3PM in Library Program Room

Online registration is required. Go to Programs. Come join the Canton Public Library’s Writers Group, led by our Writer In Residence and local author, Shona Bradbury. The structure of the write-in sessions will consist of:

  • Meet and greet/networking with local writers;
  • Weekly topical group discussions;
  • Timed blocks of quiet writing time with stretching breaks in between.
  • Opportunities for one-on-one help.

Our weekly newsletter provides a recap of weekly discussions, a list of upcoming writer events in our area, and kudos to our group members’ publishing milestones.

Come on over to the Writer Window anytime during library hours. If you are looking for writing inspiration, feel free to take a writing prompt from the jar. There is also a small curated collection of writing craft books available for anyone to check out.
