Shona Bradbury

Our Writer in Residence is Shona Bradbury. She has published three books. Gesticulations and An Original Roswell are available for borrowing at Canton Public Library’s Local Author section. Changing Realms is offered free in eBook form at her website at www.shonabradbury.com.

Shona Bradbury (she/her) is an American author born and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois where there wasn’t much else to do than lose yourself in a good book. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and daughter.

Open Office Hours

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 1-3PM

Calling all writers! Whether you write fiction, nonfiction, blog posts, memoirs, or business documents, come and find your tribe! Our Writer In Residence, Shona Bradbury, is eager to meet and support other writers in the area. Come during her open office hours to chat about your work in progress, get some inspiration, or bounce ideas off your new network of fellow writers, all in the comfortable setting of the Canton Public Library’s main seating area with cozy club chairs.

Write-Ins

Every Monday 1-2:30PM & 2nd Wednesday of the Month 6:30-8PM

Online registration is required. Go to Programs. Come join the Canton Public Library’s Writers Group, led by our Writer In Residence and local author, Shona Bradbury. The structure of the write-in sessions will consist of:

  • Meet and greet/networking;
  • Timed blocks of quiet writing time with stretching breaks in between;
  • Option to share excerpts and writing goals.

Writer Window

Come on over to the Writer Window anytime during library hours. If you are looking for writing inspiration, feel free to take a writing prompt from the jar. There is also a small curated collection of writing craft books available for anyone to check out.
