An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Friday, repeating until October 15, 2021
We are so excited to restart this program after a year’s hiatus! (There are still archived baby times online on our Facebook page.) Note: We have this program starting at 10:30 a.m. – it was posted incorrectly at one point, our apologies!!!
Start early and let us help you grow your reader! We’ll sing, talk, read, and play with your baby and you. Using nursery rhymes, fingerplays, baby signs, short books read together, plus bounces and bubbles, Children’s Librarian Heather Baker will provide 45 minutes of “library time” outside on the lawn to build early literacy skills in our youngest children.
Older children are welcome to accompany our “not yet walkers” and their beloved grown-ups. No registration in advance is required, but you will be asked to sign in with contact information once you arrive at the library.
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
