Join us for an exciting day of Dungeons and Dragons! Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned player, this event is perfect for you. Learn the basics of D&D, create your first character or craft a new one, and get exclusive insights into our upcoming summer campaigns. This program is designed to enhance your skills and immerse you in the world of D&D.

Calling Adventurers of any experience level!
You and your fellow adventurers have been invited to the manor of a powerful lord on the night of a masquerade ball. He suspects he is to be murdered that night, and therefore has contracted you and your group to keep him safe. Will you be able to, or will the mystery assailant succeed in their plot?

Many people do not realize that there are endangered species even here in Connecticut! White Memorial will join us at the Canton Public Library for a discussion on what local species are in peril, why they’re each important and what we can do to help them. Plus, you’ll get to meet a couple of live creatures up close and personal, and play some fun interactive games!

Join us as we get outside and enjoy some nature! Teens will hit the trails for a hike with plenty of time for them to take photographs or nature journal. With our experienced guide, we’ll explore one of Canton’s scenic hikes, spotting wildlife and enjoying the views. It’s all about having fun in nature while discovering the beauty right in our own town!

Entering grades 5 and up | Wednesdays from June 26-August 7, 1:00-4:00 PM

Join us for our drop-in open art studio time. Explore crafts of all kinds: knitting projects, perler beads, friendship bracelets, hand-stamped and illustrated lettering, and more. We provide project ideas, extra help, and all materials needed. Work on your own projects too!

Participating in one of our other programs and want more time? Need some assistance with a tricky project? This is your time to use library supplies and ask experienced staff questions. Drop by, chill, and create.

Camp NaNoWriMo is your next, great writing adventure! This month-long writing challenge takes place every July and offers you the flexibility to try something new with your writing. During Camp, you can set your own word-count goal (you’re not locked into 50,000 words!), and you can officially tackle any kind of writing project, novel or not.

Meet virtually with Camp Director Clair, each Thursday morning, to learn some tips, play some games, and inspire your creativity.

Calling all Adventurers!
The Canton Public Library will be hosting a special D&D group for high school students only. Join Dungeon Master Tommie Barker as we cover the basics, create characters, and set out on a campaign.

Amidst a terrible war, you and a group of people become stranded as your train breaks down in the middle of nowhere. As you attempt to find some way to get home or call for help, you and your fellow adventurers begin to have eerily similar dreams. Will you be able to find your way to your destination? Or will you fall victim to the dreams plaguing your mind? 

All player levels welcome. We ask that you be available for at least 4 of the 5 sessions.

Join Dungeon Master Tommie Barker for this two-day mini campaign for players in grades 5 and up.  You are a prisoner in one of the most secure prisons in the world. Craving your freedom, you decide to team up with your fellow inmates in order to escape. Will you be able to pull off your great prison breakout, or will you remain trapped within your cell forevermore?
