Retired Ag Educator David Murray will discuss how to reduce ticks, recycle toilet paper rolls and respect the earth, all at the same time! David will show you how to assemble bait traps using simple supplies that safely and effectively reduce tick populations. These traps will aid in slowing the transmission of tick-borne diseases when you spread them in your yard along tree and shrub borders where ticks hang out.
This talk is free and we will give out some of the recyclables used to make the trap, paper rolls and dryer lint to anyone who wants some. Registration requested for seating set-up. Use the registration link or call the library at 860-693-5800 or email bvanness@libraryconnection.info.
