We hope to meet outside on the island, but we can meet indoors (Room F) if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Come to the children’s room for a nametag if the weather isn’t fine.
Intended for children ages 1.5 through 4 with their caregivers. DROP IN, starts at 10 a.m. Led by Heather Baker, Head of Children’s Services.
This storytime weaves the development of language and listening skills into a fun-filled program of read-alouds, flannel board activities, music, movement, and rhymes.
Storytime themed craft kids and age-appropriate books are available to pick up in the Children’s Room both before and after storytime. If you’d like these collected and checked out for you, please ask before story time or call to arrange curbside pickup.
If Canton Schools are CLOSED due to inclement weather, we will not have in-person story time.
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
