Bring a little green inside during the winter by learning tips and tricks to start your own seeds for vegetable or flower gardens. With a little effort, you can grow varieties not found in nurseries and maybe even save some green on your grocery bill.

Michelle Winkler is an Advanced Master Gardener and the Litchfield County Coordinator for the UConn Extension Master Gardener Program. She grows vegetables, herbs, fruits, flowers, and sometimes too many weeds in her Canton garden.
