New Reading Group just for Developmentally Disabled Young Adults

December 6, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Would you like to join a reading group to share your favorite books and connect with others who love books and reading?  Canton Public Library has a new group forming for young adults on the spectrum of developmental disabilities.  The group will meet on the Zoom platform as long as COVID restrictions keep us from meeting in person. You can join at your own pace, show the group your favorite books, read to the group a bit, or just listen.  Family members and support staff are welcome. Please register by emailing Beth Van Ness, Adult Services Librarian at bvanness@libraryconnection.info or calling at the library at 860-693-5800 ext. 2104.  You will need an email account and internet access to join the Zoom meeting.  Both the group and Zoom access are free.

Our first meetings will be April 6th at 7:00 pm and April 22nd at 1:30 pm.  We will meet for an hour or until everyone has a chance to participate.  Feel free to call or email with any questions or comments.
