Meditation Practices and Mindfulness Activities have been shown to reduce stress and ruminative (worrying) behavior. Studies also show that meditation can increase focus, active memory and improve relationships. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2012/07-08/ce-corner
On Saturday February 26th at 11 am our new mindfulness and mediation discussion group will meet for the first time. We will explore various forms of meditation, share resources both in print and online and meditate together to encourage our individual practices. People are welcome to the group who just want to consider the idea of meditation and mindfulness in their own lives. This group will meet once a month.
Please contact Beth Van Ness if you would like more information about this new group. 860-693-5800 during library hours or firstname.lastname@example.org
