SCHOOL might be closed on Tuesday November 8, but the LIBRARY is open! Stop by at 2 p.m to learn about about therapy dogs and how they are trained, see pictures of them training and on-the-job, and, of course, you’ll get to meet and greet with several of the dogs!
Sign up online. Best for children ages 5 and up. Short slideshow and talk followed by time for dog cuddling and possible story reading.
The dogs will visit the Children’s Room after the program to meet and greet younger children.
** Please Note: it is the library’s formal policy that a parent or guardian (over age 18) must be present in the library with a child under the age of 9, even if that child is attending a program or special event. Adults are always welcome to attend a program with their child.
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
