We’ve cancelled this program, it will be rescheduled as part of our summer reading offerings.
Work alongside of Jane Allyn, a Children’s Programmer here at the Canton Public Library, who will host David Ploughie of Sticker Book Publishing so that you can learn about and create your very own Sticker Book about Women’s History.
You then to keep and take home the book to complete!
Sticker Book Publishing has created this great learning tool with 16 pages of over 60 important and influential women and leaders, with 6 pages of stickers. David will join us via Zoom to discuss how best to use the book, and Ms. Jane will be on hand in the library for a workshop session.
We’d love for participants to join us live in the library, but if that is a concern for you we’ll happily add you to the zoom stream and you can pick up your activity book before the program. (If you choose this option we will contact you to let you know when it is ready for pickup, approximately 48 hours before the program begins.)
This program is intended for kids Grades 3 and up, although a younger child who is REALLY interested in history could certainly participate with a grown-up’s one-on-one help.
The book and the program are free, although supplies and spaces are limited!
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
