Once you have signed up, you will be able to request a book quiz for any book you have read on the Elementary, Intermediate or Middle School Nutmeg lists for 2024. You’ll need to sign up AGAIN if you participated last year!
Complete any quiz and you will earn a collectible book badge for the book you have read.
You can read and collect them all year, through the end of April 2024.

What are the Nutmegs? They are the nominees for the Connecticut State Youth Book Awards, where the final winners are chosen by Connecticut kids each year. Find out more about this year’s nominees at the Nutmeg Book Award Website : nutmegaward.org There are printable lists of the books with short descriptions and cover photos.
Every book on all four lists is available from the Canton Public Library, and you can even place holds from home.
If there are audio or ebook options available, we do our best to have them available to borrow.
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
