An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until October 28, 2020
“Story Time Online: Singalong Stories,” inspired by the story time singalong songs of Emily Arrow, are being held online during the month of October at the Canton Public Library.
Presented on Facebook Live and Zoom by Children’s Librarian, Heather Baker. We’ll read picture books each week that Emily Arrow has turned into songs, plus other specially selected stories to complement her chosen book. Grow a reader! We sing, talk, read, write, and play at story time, even when it is online. Free; registration is not required, but is encouraged.
Project Kits created by artist Sue Tarinelli and librarian Heather Baker, including with 4 crafts (one for each October story time) will be provided free for children who register, as supplies last.
Intended for children ages 3 and up with a parent/caregiver. Canton Public Library is at 40 Dyer Avenue, Canton, and is now re-opened to the public for brisk browsing and checkout on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We also provide contact-free curbside pickup M-F 9-5 and online services available 24/7.
“Arrow turns appealing children’s books (with the authors’ permission) into songs that are by turns winsome, wistful, and frolicsome, encouraging kids to move to well-crafted melodies and lyrics, to get creative, and to tap into their own imaginations.” — Parents’ Choice Awards Review
