Drop by to create a “Tails and Tales” inspired craft or two with our summer programmers, Shannon and Tori! For school-aged kids, or you can be younger if you have active help from a grown-up. You can arrive at any time between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The activity should take you about 20 minutes.
Once you arrive, ask at the Children’s Desk and you’ll be directed to our front portico to complete the activity outside. New and different experiences await each week. We’ll provide everything you need, free of charge.
No need to sign up ahead of time, but supplies may be limited and you will need to sign in with contact information before you attend the craft-making session.
CRAFT today: Flashlight Safari – A zip lock bag, black and white construction paper, and permanent markers are all that’s needed to make this project that’s part craft and part optical illusion.
**Note** If weather conditions do not permit outdoor programming, the library will post a “change of plans” on the library website and on our Facebook page by 11 a.m. We may move indoors if the weather is not good, space permitting. Poor weather during summer months would include: temperatures in excess of 90°F during the event, significant rain, high winds, power outages, or high thunderstorm probability.
Inclement weather policy: If Canton schools or afterschool activities are cancelled for weather-related reasons, so too are events for teens and children at the Canton Public Library. The library is often still open, please contact us with questions or concerns at 860.693.5800.
